Give Yourself Permission, Place, Priority, and Perseverance to Heal

Maybe you’re a Christian. Maybe you’ve been to a church service or a prayer line and had somebody speak healing words of life to you. Maybe you’ve already started down the healing path. Maybe there are lies that have popped up and gotten you off track: “You already got prayer, you don’t need anymore.”  “It’s not that big of a deal. Just get over it and move on.”  “You shouldn’t need all of this prayer, time, and attention if you’re really saved.” Whichever might apply to you, or even all apply, I’m going to encourage you to get plugged in and to keep going. I’m going to encourage you to give yourself permission, place, priority, and perseverance to heal. In Luke 4:18-19 , NKJV, Jesus tells us that He is the anointed one to preach the gospel: “get people saved.“ Then He continues to say, and heal the brokenhearted, set the captives free, bring sight to the blind, and set at liberty those who are oppressed. So if all of the difficulties of our life went away when we got saved, why does Jesus mention them?

Cautions!

Whether you are here for healing yourself, or  to learn how to bring healing to others, “Cautions” are necessary.  Think about driving down the highway…or even your neighborhood street.  When you see a yellow blinking stop light, or a flashing highway sign, or a tow truck on the side of the road with the “no shoulder” lights- for your safety and the safety of others, you obey those signs.’

In our Life Solutions course, we emphasize the importance of going through the process with a partner—whether it's a spouse, family member, or friend. While it's natural to ask if you can just follow the framework and pray for yourself, there are two key reasons why having a partner is far more effective. Read on to discover what they are.

Does this inner healing process work?

I am often asked if this inner healing process really works or not. The answer is unequivocally “YES” IF you follow the process through to completion and continue to follow the principles of the Life Solutions Framework. And, that is a big IF.

Where does this path/framework come from anyway?

The foundation of our Life Solutions 6 Step Framework is Luke 4:18-19 where Jesus is in the synagogue reading from Isaiah 61 - '“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord .”' NKJV

How do I know that I'm wounded?

In my last post on "why do I need heart healing" I asked us to agree with the idea that we have all been wounded. I said I would talk more about that later. So I guess this is later. How do I know that I'm wounded? Because the Scriptures say so.

Why Heart Healing?

Good question! And the simple answer is "because we are all wounded," but that is a blog for another time. So if we can take that foundational concept, that we have all been hurt, disappointed, frustrated, fearful, anxious, letdown, misunderstood… Then let's talk about the  implications of that. In the word, we are told to "love the Lord your God, with all your heart, all your soul, all your might" (Deuteronomy 6:4-6 and Matt 22:37 (mind) and Mark 12:30, 33).  The word also says "you have wounds that you have not healed, pressed out.
